Chancellor Fox established a campus work group to serve in an advisory role to the 2006/07 Campus Budget Committee (CBC). The Budget Review Work Group (BRWG) reviewed and discussed various allocation methodologies, issues and possible options for change. The BRWG submitted its report on August 15, 2006 reconfirming its support for the principles that guide the CBC budget deliberations.
This report is an addendum to the August BRWG report which was submitted to the Chancellor on March 23, 2007. Two key components included were Deferred Maintenance and Indirect Cost Recovery allocation model.
The Treasurer's Office at Office of the President (OP) invests available University cash in short term securities called the Short Term Investment Pool (STIP). Quarterly, total Pool earnings are distributed among individual UC campuses. The distribution is based on the campuses' average daily cash balances held at OP.
