Interlocation Transfer of Funds (ILTF)
The deadline for the submission of interlocation transfer of funds (ILTF) is the 15th of the month in order to process the document in the corresponding period. All ILTF forms must be submitted to the Campus Budget Office. Contact Hugo Rios at 4-6191 for information.
Background
An Interlocation Transfer of Funds (ILTF) is a transfer between campuses or UCOP that usually result in net increases or decreases in the level of budgeted resources forthe campuses involved. Such transfers require an Interlocation Transfer of Funds (ILTF) paper form, UFIN 1520-I. An online (PDF) ILTF form can be filled out online and directions on how to fill out the ILTF form can be reviewed by clicking on the "How to Fill Out an ILTF Form" link to the right.

Process for an ILTF Initiated by UCSD
2. The CBO audits the ILTF form for proper coding, account translation, and completeness. The ILTF form is then sent to the UCSD General Accounting Office (GAO).
3. The GAO audits the ILTF form for proper fund sourcing and sufficient fund balances. The ILTF form is then returned to the CBO.
4. The CBO enters the data into an online ILTF system located at the UC Office of the President (UCOP). The original ILTF form is kept on file with the CBO for record of signature.
5. Once the UCOP Budget Office approves the ILTF, the transfer is implemented for any affected campuses and becomes part of a permanent online record.
